What is the ‘Envelope Status’ page?

The Envelope Status page is where you can track the progress of your envelope as it makes its way to its recipients. Here you can make minor amendments, track who signed and when, check what fields were placed - the whole shebang!

At the top of course, you have your envelope's title and current status - but beneath are different sub-headings that provide LOADS of information!


Underneath the image of your documents, you can also make loads of minor amendments to the envelope as well:


  • Edit Sharing will allow you to change who on the account can access this envelope.
  • Reminder Settings allows you to set scheduled reminders.
  • Expiry Settings will allow you schedule an end date for the envelope if you're working to a schedule. You'll also be able to immediately expire the envelope from here.
  • Resend will allow you to send a reminder to the current outstanding parties, it'll even allow you to select specific people if your envelope was sent 'All-at-Once'.
  • Cancel Envelope will allow you to cancel the envelope then and there! It'll send an email to let everyone know too so no further hassle on your part!

Signing Status

Here, you'll find a breakdown of each recipient of the envelope! It'll show you their name of course, their email too!


Pro-Tip: The pen icon next to the party email will allow you to edit it after sending, it'll even send an automatic reminder after you've tweaked it!

You'll be able to see whether the individual party has signed under Status. You'll see whether they've been sent the envelope, have already signed or are awaiting other parties to complete! Wondering why so-and-so hasn't signed yet? Check here to make sure if it's actually their turn yet!


Even better, you'll be able to preview the envelope from the perspective of any outstanding signer on the envelope by selecting the small magnifying glass icon on the right-hand side.


Envelope Fields:

Here, you'll see each party's basic info as well as the list of fields that were placed for that party to fill in!


This is an immensely useful tool to see exactly what was data you're expecting to have from each party - missing a signature box from a signer? You can check here and make sure there was one popped in in the first place!


Envelope History:

Of course, this breaks down the history of the envelope at large - see every single step of the process from creation to completion. This envelope history will be affixed to your completed document as a full-page audit trail.


However, before that, it's a super useful tool to look for clues on the current status of the envelope itself;

  • You can discover whether a signer has opened the envelope or whether they've simply viewed the email. Sometimes a signer doesn't realise they need to click a link to the document itself!
  • If someone's having trouble signing, you may see repeat messages of "Signer has viewed the envelope" with no further signing completion - another clue you can find here!
  • Or, if there are any issues delivering to your recipient such as bounces- it'll all be found here with helpful breakdowns of the exact reasoning why!
